A Shopper's Remorse

Perfecting the art of traveling with small children: endless (not priceless). This is when red-eye flights become oh-so-desirable because that's when they're most likely going to be sleeping through the entire flight. And what about baggage? A timeless rule of thumb: pack less, shop more!!!

My excuse: I've only got 2 hands to use to hold each kid. That pretty much leaves me with nothing left to hold on to any additional luggage. And no, I don't check any baggage in each time I travel. Why? High risk + high effort = high stress. It's simply not worth it. Enough said. There is always a price to pay for safety, convenience, and a dose of sanity.

Within the first 24 hours of my arrival, we found ourselves shopping tirelessly...and enjoying it! No looking back. The plan is to mail these items back home. It's all about a seamless process.

After spending what I would have otherwise spent on our airfare at a nearby mall, I needed some reassurance that I wasn't going crazy. As I read my Bible, God gave me a very important message which I'll always hold on to whenever I go on a shopping spree (of course, "in moderation"):

"There is nothing better for a man, that he should eat and drink, and that he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it was from the hand of God." Ecclesiastes 2:24

"And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God." Ecclesiastes 3:13

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" Ecclesiastes 3:1

Bye-bye, shopper's remorse! And, off to the mall, again! LOL.

Conclusion: "This too shall pass."
